Self-Portraits

Through self-portraiture, I’m able to navigate challenging feelings and life situations. It allows me to sit with my feelings, to process them in a safe and healthy environment, to feel the changes in my body, to observe the things that capture my attention while undergoing that difficult stage, and to accept reality as it is, making something beautiful out of it. It gives me the possibility to look back at the images and understand messages my own mind was trying to convey to me.

The act of observing myself has become therapeutic and cathartic. I’ve found that on the other side of loneliness lies the extraordinary possibility of getting to know who you are and letting yourself be completely, embracing every light and every shadow.
